Using a tip, police were able to track down a Florida fugitive who was staying at a Midtown Manhattan hotel. The 38-year-old had been on the run from South Florida. He was wanted for sex crimes charges that stemmed from Miami Beach. Authorities said the man was wanted for having sex with a minor, human trafficking, and procuring an underage person for prostitution. Detectives said the suspect created a fake Facebook profile, claiming to be a 22-year-old Hooter's waitress. He used the fake profile to friend a 17-year-old girl, whom he allegedly promised $10,000 for her to visit a South Beach hotel to engage in sex with an older wealthy man.
