It's important to note that Case-Shiller is an "National" index of home prices.   "SOME" Baton Rouge Real Estate Markets Also Enjoy 2013 Appreciation.  Yes, absolutely there's positive good news to report for Baton Rouge, however, not all of Greater Baton Rouge has enjoyed significant home price appreciation and NOT ALL of Baton Rouge Real Estate is in a "Seller's Market".  GBRMLS Areas 52 & 53 (LSU and Highland Rd) would generally be viewed as Seller's Markets but Areas 41 & 42 (Park Forest and Sherwood Forest) are still correcting and still dealing with foreclosures.
