Danny Baker on why talking to your teen about depression could be the difference between life and death.

Via Christopher M Turner
Taylor Kilpatrick's insight:

It is so important to be aware of depression and other disorders and what they really are. The generally accepted opinion on those with depression is a negative one, and often deters people from investigating further into how they're feeling. More often, people just tell themselves it's a phase and or they're going through something temporary, and tend to ignore it. Sometimes, this carries on too long, and there are drastic consequences. Educating our youth and working to improve the view of mental illnesses will help people get the help they need, and sooner.
