As with other new tech toys, I think this one line from the article sums up my thoughts on the Apple watch: “After all, if you’re going to spend several hundred dollars or more on a fancy wrist computer that you didn’t even need a month ago, surely you’ve accepted the fact that you’re willing to play the role of guinea pig-slash-early adopter for Apple by doing so.”  The issue though is not so simple for the enterprise.  New technology must be properly vetted to make sure it poses no security risks and can be controlled in some fashion.  Is this a new wave of BYOD in the making?

Thanks to Yvonne Wade Sanchez for posting this on the Women in TechComm group on Facebook.

Dame "Steve" is my new heroine. From one autism mom to another, thank you for doing all that you do to break down walls as an advocate for women in IT as well as an advocate for autism needs. You show us how it really should've been done all along, and you did it well before anyone else.

Take the 13:39 minutes to watch this. Fantastic story and person.

I'm a big fan of this heroine.... Great human being, mother and extremely smart woman... It remembers me my unique sister!

I am sorry that it took me so long to "meet" Dame Steve. She is remarkable in every way...from her flat head to her gigantic heart. What a role model for CEO/entrepreneurs! WOW.
