Though the eukaryotic cells differ in sizes and shapes they have certain common structural features. Further, eukaryotes contain subcellular structures and well defined nucleus. Cells are surrounded by membranes. It separates the cells from surrounding and it is called as plasma or cell membrane. The other subcellular organelles are also composed in parts by membranes.
