Google Cross-Channel Attribution Reporting Set To Increase Mobile Ad Budgets - 07/16/2013
Damian Radcliffe's insight:

Extract:

The PM Digital report, "Search Rewind: Retail Trends, Benchmarks, and  Insights for Q2 2013," released Monday digs into the latest trends and provides  a perspective of several search factors influencing marketing.

Cross-device reporting will let marketers see a search trail leading from a  smartphone to a tablet to a desktop. Not having that insight stifles marketing  budgets. "I see this as a huge growth push for paid search on mobile," she said.  "Mobile search campaign budgets are low, but the minute we have a reporting  structure that proves conversions, budgets will spike."

The report identifies a trend by mobile to outgrow desktop, but conversions  and demand generation lag because no one can see the attribution trail.

Geo-Locating the Pay Wall: Digital Platforms Offers Offers Free Zones :: MinOnline

Geo-Locating the Pay Wall: Digital Platforms Offers Offers Free Zones :: MinOnline | Media & Tech Futures | Scoop.it
We usually associate digital pay walls with a virtual space--usually a couple of pages into a paid site or after a sample issue of a downloadable digital edition.
Damian Radcliffe's insight:

"The technology allows publishers to open up their paid issues for free use in specific locations. For instance, the Literary Review is free to read when a user is at the British Library. Music Week is available when a user downloads it at the famed Abbey Road crosswalk. Opera magazine is freely accessible at both the Royal Opera house in London and the Metropolitan Opera in New York."
