This activity, Dance – based on story of Pixel – explores colour as stimulus for making dance. It is intended to introduce students to colour and how colours are made, and to use colour and objects as stimulus for creating dance movement.
In this activity students are introduced to the story of Pixel, who loses her way and loses her colour. Students are guided through a series of activities to explore colour and what it means to them, culminating in the creation of a ‘Balloon dance’.

Dance – based on story of Pixel Notebook (6.7 MB)

Outcomes: DAES1.1, DAES1.2 and DAES1.3
