In the article, the author demonstrated that nowadays brands do not integrate their email marketing and social media strategies. Some business advertise their products, brands as well as logos by placing the pictures at either footer or header at every email, so she said the positioning of the pictures are actually not very appropriate. Three examples are provided to illustrate the author’s idea. The author thinks that emails should be integrated with the social environment. She also lists some advantages of having email and social integration. Firstly, as more and more people share the emails, the business brands get more exposure attracting more viewers. Secondly, as more people receive the emails, it is very likely to appeal to more new subscribers. Thirdly, every social network permits the users to connect with the contacts in a different way. In the end, the author uses a picture from Topman and she thinks the advertising strategies Topman has used is really successful in terms of combining social media and emails.

Hi Chenghao, you have chosen a very interesting article that I have never thought about, which is integrate their email marketing and social media strategies. We all know that nowadays, social media is becoming more common and important for enterprise marketing strategies. Of course this strategic plan is well benefit with brand exposure, connect with audience and so on. And only put brand image as well as logos at either footer or header at every email is obviously far away enough. With the three examples that this article mentioned above, I think no matter what kind of tools that company used, the most critical point is attract people’s eye at the first time with social interesting. And the most successful case is Top Man in this article in terms of combining email and social media.
