This is a great resource giving advice on how to effectively use social media tools to grow your business or your brand. The poster companies used here are Disney and WWE. "You may not be a multibillion dollar business with a killer mascot (at least not yet), but you can still do social like the best of them, so long as you connect your business objectives to an effective social media marketing strategy."

 

4 steps are provided to help businesses strategize their social media pursuits. I personally agree that being strategic about using social media is vital to the growth of a brand. It is not enough to just post an update on Facebook, but having goals and a plan to reach those goals can allow for much better results.

Social Media Is Just A Tool...and it will look very different in just a few years... That's why snatching up as many Fans or Followers as possible isn't so important b/c it won't matter when the platform decides to go IPO (and it will). 


The key is to leverage business metrics to impact customer satisfaction as an internal agent of change.


We need to focus on fulfilling promises to customers and treating them like valuable assets. When we win there, everything else will fall into place whether its Facebook or Twitter or something new.
