Companies are always changing the way they market and looking for new ways to market. From television commercials, to billboards, and even apps on smart phones adds are every where. The constant change of technology has proved to be difficult for some marketers.

Integrated marketing is one of the best strategies that companies use. It is when they consistently use the same ideas in their advertisements. This type of consistency builds a trust between the consumer and the company. When a potential consumer has become familiar with a brand they are more likely to use that company rather than one they have never heard of.

Integrated marketing is not something that can be done over a short period of time. Reaching a massive amount of consumers and getting a brand to stick in peoples minds can take years. One reason why McDonald's has such a good marketing plan is because of integrated marketing. They have been consistent with their advertisements and now most people know their slogans just by memory.

If you are in the process of developing a new tactic you need to work fast and efficient. Often, new tactics get put in the back because old proven tactics are a safer route. If you consistently work on the new tactic this will prevent it from being forgotten. This is important because every marketing tactic that is used has the potential to grow your company to a new level.

Using trial and error is a great way to perfect your tactics. After implementing a new strategy carefully watch the numbers and statistics to see if it is working. This will allow you to see if anything needs tweaked. Once you have fixed a potential problem you can use the strategy again. And if there is still a problem you can make the decision to keep fixing or to drop it.

Improving tactics that already work is another great strategy. Although a tactic may seem successful there is always room for improvement. Even if you fail in creating a more efficient strategy you still have the old successful one to fall back on. Being open to trying new unconventional tactics can create a very successful marketer.

Targeting customers effectively is the key to marketing. Pick a method of advertising that will reach the audience you are trying to reach. If your target is elderly people, twitter would not be that effective. You need to show your customers the product in order for them to know about it.
