Describe Your Colleagues' Attributes: list their interpersonal skills, resources, technological strengths, use of systems, information processing and personal qualities.

 

Think of a person that you have depended on. This could be someone at work, school, or someone you volunteered with, just as long as it is someone who you feel you could describe with some admiration of who they are and/or how they do things.

 

Write the person’s first name:

Write three or more attributes you find particularly valuable (these can be one word each):

 

Repeat by describing another colleague.

Add one more colleague.

Write the person’s first name:

Write three or more attributes you find particularly valuable (these can be one word each):

 

Did you find that these colleagues shared traits or skills? List them below:

 

 

Now review your descriptions of shared traits/skills. Many of us describe traits we share (or aspire to strengthen within ourselves). By reviewing this list of shared traits or skills among those you admire, perhaps you are on your way to finding those three or four words that describe yourself; that is your personal brand.
