5 Overlooked Social Media Tips to Boost Branding, Clicks & Conversions | JUST™ Creative

5 Overlooked Social Media Tips to Boost Branding, Clicks & Conversions | JUST™ Creative | management | Scoop.it

Overlooked is definitely the right word here, especially when it comes to tip  #2. Each social network serves a different purpose, so it's important to keep that in mind with marketing campaigns.

Also, #3 (have fun) is a great piece of advice. Social media shouldn't be a boring chore. See everything you do on social platforms as a continuation of your offline work. Share stories that inspire you, for example.

Love this article written by Megan Ritter!

How to Increase Revenue Without Actually Selling

How to Increase Revenue Without Actually Selling | management | Scoop.it
For some reason, many companies believe that marketing ends once a prospect becomes a customer.  However, this should never be the case.  If you think about it, marketing to potential customers is a series of actions that a company performs to gain the customers' trust and show them the value of the company.  So, why on earth would you stop doing this after they’ve given you their business?

Duplication is what is going to make you a leader in your industry.

Alaina Es's curator insight, September 30, 2014 10:58 AM

One of the most important things I learned in my introduction to personal selling class was that you can’t neglect a relationship once the prospect becomes a customer. This was the older, traditional method of selling. Now, customers value trust and you can’t provide trust if you’re negligent to the customers’ needs after you get their business. The author portrayed the traditional sales “funnel” in a new light to help sales and marketing reps accomplish the now new and improved inverted funnel. There are a lot of leads coming into the top and a smaller number dripping out of the bottom. From that point the customers just get thrown in a CRM system but this is not the right way to go if you’re dollars remain on the line. If you turn your clients into fans and then eventually brand evangelists, this funnel can actually generate more revenue and of a higher quality. By offering value through content, for example, through e-books, webinars, and social chats, customers will trust you more and look to you for all the answers to their problems. It takes more work to keep them but the returns in the long run are worth it.

I connected with this article because as I was reading through it I kept thinking about the family business that I work for currently. For instance, the credibility and trust of your business is determined heavily on the loyalty to the customers and having a goal of them coming back for multiple purchases. Social media marketing is a great tool to help reach this goal as it easily connects customers with the business. Posting what the customers want to see not only attracts them to come back but also to recommend the advertisement or post to others.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella needs an editor

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella needs an editor | management | Scoop.it
Satya Nadella’s latest message to the troops—and to the world—is disquieting. It lacks focus, specifics, and, if not soon sharpened, his words will worry employees, developers, customers, and even shareholders. As I puzzled over the public email Microsoft’s new CEO sent to his troops, Nicolas Boileau’s immortal dictum came to mind: Whatever is well conceived is clearly said, And...

The Evolution Of The Employee

The Evolution Of The Employee | management | Scoop.it

This concept and the visual was taken from my new book which came out today called, The Future of Work: Attract New Talent, Build Better Leaders, and Create a Competitive Organization.

One of the things I have been writing about and have tried to make clear over the past few months is that work as we know it is dead and that the only way forward is to challenge convention around how we work, how we lead, and how we build our companies. Employees which were once thought of expendable cogs are the most valuable asset that any organization has. However, the employee from a decade ago isn’t the same as the employee who we are starting to see today. To help show that I wanted to share an image from my upcoming book which depicts how employees are evolving. It’s an easy way to see the past vs the future.
