BANGSAR: From Bunge-Grisar to Bangsar | Malaysia Heritage |

THE name Bunge-Grisar is unlikely to ring any bells today, even for the folk of Bangsar. "Bangsar" is derived from the name, which is a contraction of the names of Dutchman and Frenchman, Edouard Bunge and Alfred Grisar, respectively. They were among the first board members of the London-based Kuala Lumpur Rubber Co Ltd, which was established on May 19, 1906 and which owned the Bunge-Grisar, or Bungsar, rubber estate
