When wearing makeup you always want to have just the right amount. You want your makeup to look natural and not look fake and painted onto your face. There is more than just putting it on your face and calling it a day. You have to wear your makeup based on the color of your hair, your eyes, and skin. You also have to base it off of the shape of your eyes, face and brows. Wearing the makeup that fits you makes it beautiful. It is to hide some of your flaws and make your best features pop more. Those are the biggest parts on how to start wearing makeup.

You also have to make sure you are not over doing your makeup. Too much bronzer, concealer, foundation, and powder will not make your face look right or natural. Always wear color that match your skin tone and with eye shadows your eye color. Also wear your makeup so it fits your hair style. Different eyeliner styles can fit certain ways you wear your hair.

Red lipstick used to be the color to wear when using lipstick. Today things are changing, the color orange is now trending and it is taking over red. Not a lot of people can pull off red lipstick, but with orange anyone can pull it off. Whether you have dark or pale skin. You can look great with the color orange on your lips. There are lighter and darker shades now to fit any skin tone. Red on the other hand comes in shades but still has a very bold look. Before red was the lip color now it is changing to orange and becoming very popular.

There are right ways on how to wear makeup and there are wrong ways as well. When wearing makeup you should always wear concealers, foundations, and bronzers that match your skin color. You should also make sure that you are not over doing your eyebrows when using an eyebrow pencil. Another thing to watch is wearing eye shadow. Do not wear too dark of shades on your eyes. You always want just the right amount of color. You also do not need to wear a full face of makeup everyday. If there's a day when your not going out or its just an ordinary day, wear a little bit of foundation, concealer or powder and just mascara. Looking natural isn't bad at all.

Today, there are some makeups that are good for your skin. Many people think that all makeup makes your skin break out badly. But now there are makeup brands who created makeup that helps your skin look healthier and prevent breakouts. One makeup brand that we use at home that is known for healthy makeup is Neutrogena's Skin Clearing foundation. This makeup covers acne and remove it. Now you can feel comfortable with your skin when you wear makeup. Because there is now makeup that helps your skin look flawless.

Estee Lauder also sells makeup that helps prevent acne as well. Their Double Wear foundation has ingredients that will not cause you to break out. Clinique's has similar products as well. These products do cost more than ordinary makeup, but now there is both! Before makeup was all the same. Now there is all different kinds and they all treat your skin differently.

We still wear some of our makeup today how women wore it in the 20's. Women would wear dark eye shadows, dark lips, and mascara. Today our makeup is different but we take the red lipstick and dar shadows look and use it today sometimes. The makeup in the 1920's was also very different in how you apply and how it was made. Mascara for instance was a wax mixture that you needed to add water to and mix to get the mascara to form. Women would apply this onto their eyelashes with a small brush. Today, mascara comes in a decorative bottle with a wand to apply onto your lashes. Also today, dark red lipstick was the only color that was in the market. Today there are so many different colors to wear, and they also come in glosses, crayons, stains and so much more. But we still use the classic dark red they wore in the 1920's. The 1920's cosmetic style is still alive today.

Like in the 1920s lipstick is becoming very popular again. Today wearing new bold lipstick colors is what to look out for in the makeup world today in 2014. Lipstick is not new its been here forever. But today it is becoming more popular with the new shades and applications of it. There are so many you can choose from other than the original stick such as Stains, Gloss, Crayons, and so much more.

Brands like Revlon and Loreal are brands to keep in mind for the newest shades in 2014. They are offering more shades and begin using different and new markets for their lipsticks.

Makeup has been used since Egyptian times. In fact, make up was first used in Ancient Egyptian times. They created the look of wearing eye shadow and liner. Egyptians wore a lot of makeup on their eyes. They are known for the signature "Cat eye". The Cat eye is a style of eye liner that has been popular since the 1920's. It is a bold look that a lot of people try to pull off.
