Things I Want to Learn in 2012

Things I Want to Learn in 2012 | Magalawa Island | Scoop.it

In 2012 I want to Learn How to:

1. Scuba Dive- I want to travel and I'm an adventurous person. I;m not a great swimmer but I want to explore the seas. I find it fascinating and very attractive. I want to be informed/educated about all the creatures that we know so little about and things that we destroy.

2. Speak in Mandarin- Since China is growing to be a superpower, I think it is a nice idea to learn how to speak in mandarin.

3. Muay Thai- I think this is a nice excercise although the purpose of the sport is not that nice. However, in all sports what's important is the discipline that you get from it plus a fit and healthy body.

My Top 5 Gadgets

My Top 5 Gadgets | Magalawa Island | Scoop.it

1. Macbook Air- This gadget connects all of my others gadgets. This is where I store my music, videos and pictures. I also use this for work and school purposes. Very light and easy to bring where ever I got.

2. I-pad- At first I thought that this was just some expensive toy but I soon realized that this gadget has a lot of potential. You can use it to play games and kill time or use it to monitor you business, personal life and school activites.

3. LED TV- It's nice to just relax at home and watch nice movies. This makes it even more entartaining because the clarity is just superb. Include a nice surround sound system and you never have to visit the cinemas again.

4. SLR Camera- I love to travel and this gadget caputes all of those memories. It is very versatile and you can add/modify accesories depending on the situation.

5. Ipod Nano- This is very convinient because it easily fits into my pocket and while travelling I can just put it anywhere.

Trip to Magalwa Island

Trip to Magalwa Island | Magalawa Island | Scoop.it

Summer of 2012, me and my friends went to Magalawa Island in Zambales for a weekend getaway, to have some fun under the sun and to escape from the busy streets of Manila. After a long trip, we arrived early in the morning, the sun has yet to shine, and looked for our host. Come sunshine, we saw this small island with nice white sand and a lot of greenery. Our first impression is that this was a very basic island. The only water activity is snorkeling near the island and that's it. It is up to you on how you want to spend your day. For us young professionals looking for adventure this is quite lacking. However, I think that in every trip what's more important is your company and not the actual location. Given that I'm with crazy people, we had a lot of fun in the island and made some noise like there is no tomorrow. Sorry for the other people who wanted some peace and quite in the island. All in all it was a nice trip, it's just that to compete with other beaches like the ones in Palawan and Bohol it needs to create more activities and clean up the place more. I think Magalawa Island promises a weekend far from the city life and a relaxing quiet weekend. On that note Magalwa island definitely delivered its promise.
