This explains how the curse effected the play. people thought the play was cursed because of real incedents that really happened. There are certain traditions that couldnt be broken or it would ruin the play. For example actors were to call it the scottish play if they were to call it macbeth they would have to leave the studio and do  curtain things before they could come back.  people were and still are afraid of this play.

The Straight Dope: What's the story on the curse of Macbeth?

This article gives examples and details to every tragic death that has occurred during or near the play “Macbeth”. The first death occurred on August 7, 1606, backstage during the first production of Macbeth the man playing Lady Macbeth died from a high fever. Years later in 1672 the actor playing Macbeth switched the fake daggers with real once and actually killed the actor playing Duncan while the audience watched and they all thought it was an act. During the production in London in 1703, England was hit with one of the most violent storms in history. As most year went by the tragic deaths became more random and serve from people in the audience attacking the actors to the actors turning on each other and killing one another while the audience watching thinking it was a part of the play.

Curse - Macbeth

If an actor, or anyone in the theatre during Shakspeare's "Macbeth", says the word Macbeth, they will be cursed with bad luck or get seriously harmed. There are two known ways to get rid of the curse once you have uttered the word Macbeth in the theatre. You must run out of the theatre, close the door, spin around three times, quickly spit, say a cuss word, and ask to be let back into the theatre. You can also leave the theatre and recite lines from any of Shakspear's other plays.
