Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall remembers watching the very first Kinsmen Telemiracle in 1977 and realizing it was “a big deal” because Bob McGrath from Sesame Street was hosting the show.

Those of us who grew up watching Sesame Street may well consider Bob McGrath an old friend, so familiar is his gentle demeanor and clear, joyful singing voice.  He is a longtime supporter of several major charities, serving many years as host for telethons including our own Kinsmen Telemiracle.  He is well deserving of the Saskatchewan Distinguished Service Award - Congratulations Bob from everyone at Jay's!

When Debbie Koptie was diagnosed with breast cancer, she felt she was in uncharted territory, not knowing where to turn to for information, support and treatment services. Her first thought was, “Am I going to survive?

Hockey fans reacted to the news of a tentative agreement between the NHL and its players Sunday with a mix of emotions. Many say they are excited for the season to start after months of waiting -- but a bitter taste remains.
