Janet Law's curator insight, August 12, 2013 3:25 AM

Reminds me of "Using" vs "Integrating" technology.

The Night Zookeeper - Inspire Young Artists and Writers | Literacy diversity | Scoop.it

Hello and welcome to my zoo. This zoo is unlike any other in the world. Here you can awaken your imagination and play under the light of stars. Together, we will answer the question: what do animals dream about? So if you want to play loads of creative games, read about amazing animals and create your very own...The project fosters a great sense of creativity amongst pupils and has seamless cross-curricular links. It involves aspects of Literacy, Art and ICT.

The iPad as a Tool for Creation to Strengthen Learning

The iPad as a Tool for Creation to Strengthen Learning | Literacy diversity | Scoop.it

The iPad has often been dismissed as a tool for consumption and not creation.  I think this is a bit of a myth developed around thinking about learning as purely literary and overly concerned with file transfer issues and other "old school" activities.

Having said that it is a pity vendors have gone the proprietory route on storage!
