The Only Management Strategy You'll Ever Need

The Only Management Strategy You'll Ever Need | Life With a Business Major | Scoop.it
Great leaders don't need to struggle to motivate, inspire, and lead their employees. Here's why.
Faarah's insight:

My Thoughts:

According to this article, I think what the man who answers the author's question is making sense when he says "No one cares how much you know until they first know how much you care about them." For example, at school there could be some know-it-all student who thinks he/she knows everything, and maybe they do, but until they tutor or help others no one will care about the amount of knowledge they have. Thats why what the man is saying will help with management because if you are trying to manage a project and are trying to coordinate people, you may have lots of knowledge as to what needs to be done, but until you treat the team right you really cant get far because you wont have the respect of your team for you.

Leadership Definition | Leadership Strategies For Business Development

When it comes to defining leadership, even the qualities leaders are supposed to posses – it’s not at all clear cut Often the definition of leadership, while static and containing specific character traits is often confused with leadership style.
Faarah's insight:

My Thoughts:

From this webpage one can be led to see many more sites where they can attain the definiton of leadership. According to this webpage though, based on what you are trying to lead or who you are trying to lead, the definition of leadership can change. As this page says, "an NFL quarterback has one type of style while a drill sargeant has a different one and an elementary school teacher has another." They are all leaders but with different followers, which causes their way of leading to change based on their followers.

My Thoughts:

In this digital age it is becoming more and more important to use modern technology to manage projects, businesses, etc. When meetings are called they usually involve video chats and other such online meetings since organizations and its people are so spread out around the world and across long distances. As a cause of this digital age, it is important for business managers of this time to have knowledge of how to use modern techonology to effectively manage their business or other such associations. Moreover, because managers are not face to face, in this digital age, it is more difficult to effectively communicate ideas, and because of this its even more important that managers now have knowledge on how to use modern technology to its highest potential in the business field.

My Thoughts:

The facts of Business life are "If you dont lead, no one will follow", "If you dont control, you dont own it", "protecting your company's assets should be your first priority", "planning is about preparing for the future, not predicting it", "if you dont market your business, you dont have one", "the marketplace is a war zone", and "you dont just have to know the business you're in, you have to know business".

Personal Leadership is the Key to Leading at Work | CAREEREALISM | Life With a Business Major | Scoop.it

My Thoughts:

Personal leadership is very important for leading at work. The definition of personal leadership is when you control your own life and lead it in a direction that is best for you. With personal leadership you can be a strong leader at work and that is critical in order to be successful.      Three factors are involved in creating strong personal leadership skills. These are: your mindset, your energy, and your support systems. Your mindset has an impact on your personal leadership skills because if your mindset is postiive then the impact it has on your work is positive and will result towards success, but if your mindset is negative then the impact it will have will be negative towards your work. Your energy is important in determing better personal leadership skills because it allows you to actually work more towards your goals and gives you the strength and energy to lead yourself towards the right path in success.
