MOOC's are the educational buzzword of 2012. Thankfully, this essay takes a critical look at this popular phenomena. The author explains the difference between cMOOC (Connectivist – developed by the likes of Stephen Downes, George Siemens and Dave Cormier) and xMOOC (the Coursera/Udacity model used by Stanford, Harvard and MIT) and critically examines the MOOC hype against the realities of the recent history of the Higher education secor's attempts to enter into the online world of education.

How would you design a classroom?

Graham Brown-Martin starts well by exploring how famous designers would arrange a classroom. Zuckerberg wouldn't allow for privacy, Jobs would focus only on specific fruit, Page & Brin would ensure that every movement could be tracked. Sadly, the talk looses it's momentum and becomes too focuseed on the issues of accessing education than with the possible designs of classrooms
