I re-scooped this from Nik Peachey, and trialled this game for making quizzes and seems like a nice tool. I also like that you could link to a ThingLink page or a blog. Lots of potential to "gamify" a lesson.

Within a lesson instead of making a questionnaire for students I would get every student to make a short quiz of 10 questions relating to what they have just learnt, the options from there are endless, but culminating all the quiz questions (but removing similar questions) would allow learners to get a holistic idea of the learning objectives. Also it would be interesting to get the students to pose one bonus question from there own research to go into a group quiz that could be done collaboratively in an open forum, therefore the question designer can also provide insight effectively leading the class.

Thinking about my experience as a middle school teacher and working with teachers in a 1:1 initiative, I have seen many of these challenges embodied in the classroom. 
"10. Student Disorganization Every teacher has that student—the one that comes into the classroom with a pile of papers stacked high enough to hide their face as they waddle in. Middle school teachers especially have seen the way disorganization can impact note-taking.

We need to understand the different academic and social disruptors that may be affecting students' performance in the classroom in order to make changes and adjustments to the teaching practice. Sometimes teachers are not the principal cause of students'  learning struggle; however, it does not mean that they can not do anything. Being aware of the disruptors is a good starting point to help students improve by combining appropiate pedagogical strategies and content knowledge.

Student voices and insights make this a powerful reminder of why keeping students in mind is powerful and important.  The graphics of "if you could redesign education" and "What's the purpose of Learning" are great PD conversation starters.

This quote supports the importance of empowering students in doing meaningful learning. "I believe that we need to teach students that ultimately they create their own future and that there are some times in school, work, and learning, where things will be boring and we have to plow through. But this applies to ourselves as educators as well. We create our own realities. A teacher’s job isn’t to “entertain”, but showing value and meaning in learning, can often help connect the seemingly most menial tasks to a larger purpose. When we focus on what we control and constantly work towards creating deeper and more meaningful learning opportunities for our students, the impact on our students will be that much more profound." At the White House Maker Faire recently, where President Obama invited “makers” of all ages to display their creations, the  President investigated a robotic giraffe, a red weather balloon and shot a marshmallow cannon made by a student. With so much fanfare and media attention on the event, some educators are hopeful that the idea of tinkering as a way of learning might finally have made it back to the mainstream. But will the same philosophy of discovery and hands-on learning make it into classrooms?

“Most of the people that I know who got into science and technology benefited from a set of informal experiences before they had much formal training,” said Dale Dougherty, editor of Make Magazine and founder of Maker Faire on KQED’s Forum program. “And I mean, like building rockets in the backyard, tinkering, playing with things. And that created the interest and motivation to pursue science.”

That spirit of play and discovery of knowledge is missing from much of formal education, Dougherty said. Students not only have no experience with making or the tools needed to build things, they’re often at a tactile deficit. “Schools haven’t changed, but the students have,” Dougherty said. “They don’t come with these experiences.”
