Greenpeace in Le Marche

Greenpeace in Le Marche | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

Four years ago, when we started challenging the fashion industry to commit to eliminating toxic chemicals, we didn't know how far we could get. Today, Detox is becoming a standard for textiles; something that brands are proud to be a part of. It is time to challenge another sector: the outdoor industry. [...]

Mariano Pallottini's insight:

Greenpeace International published an article in the official blog about a worldwide investigation and decided to chose, as the main photo, the one realized by Roberto Isotto about the Pilato Lake in the Sibillini National Park in the Italian Apennines of the Le Marche Region.

There are about 150 wild wolves in Le Marche | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

The Marche Region has commissioned a study monitoring the wolf in Le Marche region in the period 2010-2012. Just these days the dossier was presented. The investigation is part of a comprehensive program carried out by several institutions.

The good news: the wolves' population continues to grow.

In Le Marche it has estimated a population between 137 and 155 animals. The DNA analyzed, collected into three main areas (north, center, south) describes about six main packs of wolves. Beautiful animals in good health... and we can start thinking about guided tours for their observation and listening.

Any thought about developing tours to safely look at the wolves in their natural habitat. I know a lot of people in the US who would be willing to travel for such a unique experience.

Le Lame Rosse - a Canyon in Le Marche

Le Lame Rosse - a Canyon in Le Marche | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

You can have a taste of Colorado in central Italy, in the Mt. Sibillini National Park. The place is called "Le lame rosse" (the red blades) and it is near the nice Lake of Fiastra, and it can be reach with an easy 1 hour hike.
This barren landscape appears very unexpected at the end of the trail, which runs under the bush.
The pinnacles can be up to 50 meters high.
Such types of rocks formations are very unusual in Italy.

Discover the Monti Sibillini National Park | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

A surprising mix of legends, sports and a luxuriant nature.
Land of myths and suggestions, the Sibillini Mountains owe their name to the priestess Sibilla, who was able to predict the future and lived in a stone grotto... The Monti Sibillini National Park, dominated by Mount Vettore (2,476 mt), has been established in 1993; it extends for about 70.000 hectares between Umbria and Marche and it’s richly scattered with churches and abbeys, medieval hamlets, fortified towns with towers and a spectacular, uncontaminated nature. Nature in all her dazzling beauty: Stunning new landscape photos capture the breath-taking countryside of Le Marche
Italian photographer Alessio Andreani captured beautiful shots of the European landscapes for a series of images
The 25-year-old says he often had 'only a few seconds' to capture the shot he wanted as the sun rose or went down
From the crisp, snow clad mountains to vivid bright blue seas, these breath-taking photographs capture the raw and arresting beauty of the natural landscape.
With subjects ranging from the morning sunrise to the dazzling night sky, the images - all of which were taken in France and Italy - catch these calm and tranquil settings in all their glory.
This picture, showing the Sibillini Mountains in Italy, was taken by photographer Alessio Andreani as part of a series of landscape shots taken throughout France and Italy
The awe-inspiring shots, taken throughout 2012, also manage to display the changing colours of the mountains and lakes, from oranges to yellows and purples to blues.
Mr Andreani, 25, who is from Italy, says he feels a 'strong link with the land where I live'.
He added: 'The sun has a massive impact on how the photographs will turn out; it is like one big flame of light.
'Whilst photographing a lot of these images, I had only a few seconds to get the exact capture I needed, as the sun moves so quickly at sunrise.'
The stunning photographs of greenery were taken in the town of Castelluccio di Norcia and in the hills near Recanati in Italy, showing the landscape off to its best advantage.
Mr Andreani, who was born in Loreto, said: 'Taking these photographs of the vast countryside was very relaxing for me; I was able to just walk and enjoy the moment.'
The images of the calm and eerie night sky were also taken in Italy in Mount Argentella and capture the Milky Way above the same town.
Mr Andreani added: 'It was very quiet during the taking of these photographs, and because there was no moon, there were only the stars to light up the sky, making it seem so dark.'
In stark contrast to the pictures taken at night are the shots showing the precise moments of sunrise, which were taken at various places including Monte Conero and Tellaro in Italy, and Cannes in France.
