Le Marche and Italy seen with Lebanese eyes

Le Marche and Italy seen with Lebanese eyes | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it
It is easy to understand the love affair between Italy and Lebanon, writes Michael Karam.
Mariano Pallottini's insight:

The Lebanese should be forced to drive around areas like the nearby Conero Riviera and the Conero National Park to see what their country could still look like if they hadn’t blown it.

Conero, Le Marche by Maurizio Pignotti

After a year of work, over 7200 shots, this is my vision of the Natural Park of Conero in the Marche Region,Italy. I used shooting with Drone, motorized slider, and a 2-axis head to make a lot of takes. I slept many nights to open with a sleeping bag under the starry skies. I used the bodies as the Nikon D3S and the Nikon D750, Nikkor optics 14/24 and Sigma 35mm f1,4. I hope to succeed to pass the same emotions that I have feel on cam.

The colours of Conero – A Disregarded Italian Beauty

The colours of Conero – A Disregarded Italian Beauty | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

Blue, brown and green: I still have these colours into my eyes after a weekend exploring Conero, a coastal trait facing the Adriatic Sea in Italian region Marche, just a bit south from Ancona.

AroundConero, this is the name of the project which took us in these lands, aims to highlight this area towards the large public. Our tour stretched through Sirolo, Numana, Arcevia, Ancona, Senigallia, Porto Recanati and Loreto, and it didn’t miss the beautiful landscapes of Mount Conero.

I am not exaggerating if I say I came back home with my eyes filled with breathtaking sights, my belly with delicious food and my heart with joy.

The best submarine macro life in Europe | David Salvatori & the Macro Underwater Photography in Italy

The best submarine macro life in Europe | David Salvatori & the Macro Underwater Photography in Italy | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

Perched above the idyllic blue waters of the Adriatic Sea, Numana is a small coastal town in the province of Ancona.

The stretch of twenty kilometers of coastline along the Adriatic Sea from Ancona to Numana is called the Conero Riviera, taking the name from the Conero Mountain which is overlooking this area. Famous for the immense beauty of Renaissance architecture and art on land, under the waves this rocky coastline boasts some of the best macro life in Europe.

From the biological point of view then, the sea bottoms of the Conero Riviera represent an extremely fascinating environment. The waters appear dyed green from the richness of phytoplankton, the base of many food chains. The diverse array of macro life is sustained by this great abundance of food coming from the phytoplankton. [...]

Mariano Pallottini's insight:

Great Article. Here the best highlight: "The limited available space ensures these organisms are very concentrated, and the walls of the wreck are covered and full of life: spider crab, porter crabs, blue crabs, small gobies, several species of shrimp, and an incredible amount of species of sea slugs battle for living space in a unique ecosystem where hard and soft bottom organisms live together."

Hidden Jems: The best part of Italy - If you like Tuscany… try Le Marche

Hidden Jems: The best part of Italy - If you like Tuscany… try Le Marche | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

Umbria is the obvious alternative to Tuscany but its hills and wines are fast becoming as well known as its neighbours’. So if you’re looking for somewhere new to visit but with the charm and scenery of Tuscany, try Le Marche - a mainly agricultural region on the Adriatic coast with just an hour between the beach and the Sibillini mountains. The Sibillini national park is ideal for walking, gentle cycling, mountain biking or horse riding. E lsewhere the region is dotted with caves including the famous Grotte di Frasassi which includes a cavern so large that it would fit Milan Cathedral inside it. The wines are little known outside Italy but are a joy to discover, while the food, like the region, is a mix of sea and land with regional dishes of both fish and game.

Seaside Treasure of the Marches Region

Seaside Treasure of the Marches Region | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

“Center of the Adriatic, center of Italy, center of the heart,” reads a brochure at the Tourist Office. You’ll agree if you seek it out, heading through the mountainous Marche region to the “la Riviera dell’Adriatico“, as Italians call this rocky stretch of seacoast, just south of Ancona. And due to unseasonably hot weather this fall, Italians have enjoyed the splendid Sirolo beaches all the way up to mid/October!

Have your holidays between the villages and scenery of Parco del Conero, between cliffs and bays you will discover the authentic beauty of Marche.
Unique glimpses and panorama, cliffs, hills, steep slopes, a coast with white stones, woods, hills of Mediterranean scrub and a story, which between legend and reality, looses itself in the night of times : this and more in the Regional Natural Park of Conero. A piece of nature and mankind, where a mount overhanging on the sea, the Conero, committed to the crystal clear blue of the Adriatic sea embracing four pearls which gorgeously appear on the sea.
Extended for about six thousand hectares, the Park in fact included great part of the territory of Ancona and of Sirolo, Camerano and Numana, beautiful villages main characters of an old story. [...]

Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle among the best tourist-free beaches in Italy

Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle among the best tourist-free beaches in Italy | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

Most sun-seeking visitors to Italy make a beeline for the obvious coastal getaways: Capri, Amalfi and the Cinque Terre. But beyond these famous shorelines, Italy abounds with equally beautiful and tourist-free beaches, in places you'd never expect. From the Tuscan countryside to the craggy cliffs of Marches, you'll find many spectacular hidden beaches - that you'll have all to yourself.

Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle
Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle, or the "Beach of the Two Sisters," is part of central Italy's Riviera del Conero, a picturesque swath of coast largely overshadowed by the more popular Italian Riviera, home to Portofino, Lerici and the Cinque Terre.
Spiaggia del Due Sorelle is only accessible by boat from Numana and, as a result, remains refreshingly undeveloped. You won't find any food vendors, snorkel gear rentals or shower facilities here - just soaring limestone cliffs, silvery sand and the cool, translucent waters of the Adriatic. [...]

Conero: sea, nature and much more

Conero: sea, nature and much more | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

From north until Gargano, Conero is the unic mountain of the Adriatic Coast. With a height of 572 metres Conero dominates Marche’s landscape. You can see its figure from most of the cities in the South of the region.

Conero has a lot of beautiful beaches, with white little stones contrasting the turquoise color of the sea (most of them have the European Blue flag). Beaches are small, wild and not very easy to reach. You usually have to walk 10/15 minutes to get there, but the way, inside the Mediterranea maquis, is very suggestive.

It is not easy to decide which beach is the best, they are so different one from each other, but one of my favorite is the Mezzavalle beach. If you prefer more confortable beaches, the Riviera del Conero’s cities such as Porto Recanati and Porto Potenza, have a very good equipped ones. [...]

Mornings are my favourite moments at beaches, the water is calm, clearer & cool , and the landscape is more postcard like, before the hustle starts. Spiaggia dei Frati is a lovely beach, I can’t say anything about the hotel but I do recommend relaxing at this particular beach. It definitely is a top pick if you are in Le Marche and Numana is charming little sea side town as well with some pretty nooks and corners and passageways.

Marche Endurance Lifestyle is taking a feminine touch; in fact there will be many women taking part in the horse marathon in the Conero Park. Among the female protagonists there will also be Italia Endurance Fuxia Team, an all-female team, created to highlight the great ability with which both horsewomen, trainers and grooms are able to be leaders of this discipline. Among them there will also be Marche-born Carolina Asli Tavassoli, that last December 10th has represented Italy at the Young Riders World Championships in Abu Dhabi. Carolina, riding Fiwa di Pegaso, was the only italian representative to carry out the extremely difficult world championship course of 120 km in the desert. In addition to Carolina Asli Tavassoli also the Greek horsewoman Efstathia Koutsafti, the Italian Pony champion Costanza Laliscia, toghether with the trainers Francesca Marroccu and Laura Passeri are part of Italia Endurance Fuxia Team.
