In this article, the author, Todd Purdum, talks about Obama's trials and harships as the president. Being a leader of the free world cannot be easy, and in this article Purdum the constant limitations placed upon Obama. Whether it's the strongly divided (and unagreeable) parties, or his lack of personal aides compared to the generations before him, a picture is created of Obama being contained by causes outside of his control.

After studying the electoral vote maps, blue being mostly demorcratic and red republican, it is easy to see the effect of the RNC this past week. Before, many of the swing states, such as Missouri, were undecided. Afterward, however, they are now leaning towards Mitt Romney (the republican candidate) as their choice for presidency in 2013. Before the convention, Romney had 181 electoral votes, but now he has 191.
