U.S. Senate narrowly passes first budget in four years

U.S. Senate narrowly passes first budget in four years | LaPadula_GOPO | Scoop.it

Luke La Padula's insight:

The new budget voted on by the Senate 50-49 to approve the first senate budget in 4 years. Four Democratic senators who are up for reelection in 2014 voted with republicans opposing the closing of loopholes for the wealthy. This shows a differance in policy between the two parties that make up our governing body. One wants to cut spending while the other wants to remove loopholes used by the wealthy. These differances can cause stalemates which help no one.

Could super PAC-backed third-party candidates sway presidential race? | LaPadula_GOPO | Scoop.it

They are being backed by Super PACs which may not make them a house hold nae but it will cause less votes to be directed to Romney and Obama which make the outcome harder to tell.
