GoodTime, the algorithmically enhanced interview process management platform, has raised $5 million in a new round of funding led by Bullpen Capital.
The company uses natural language processing to link interview candidates with the right interviewers inside an organization. The idea is to make the hiring process run more smoothly for large organizations and give overworked human resources staffers a new organizational tool in their toolbox to build better staffing processes.

A Russian startup has introduced an AI robot to help companies find the perfect employees from all of the applications they receive. Robot Vera, a software designed specifically to perform tasks normally done by those in human resources, can sort through applicants, contact and interview them, then send the best choices to the hiring staff. So far, the creators of Vera have around 300 clients, including PepsiCo, L’Oréal, and Ikea.

Candidates learn about Unilvere's jobs online through Facebook or LinkedIn and submit their LinkedIn profiles — no résumé required. They then spend about 20 minutes playing 12 neuroscience-based games on the Pymetrics platform. If their results match the required profile of a certain position, they move on to an interview via HireVue, where they record responses to preset interview questions. The technology analyzes things like keywords, intonation, and body language, and makes notes on them for the hiring manager. All of this can be completed on a smartphone or tablet.

LT-Innovate's insight:

Presumably Skype is collecting this kind of information about us anyway each time we do a video-call. Interesting to constantly pair body language with spoken language for cues.
