Jasmine McConnell's insight:

The KKK is an extremist right-wing secret society in the US. The Ku Klux Klan was originally founded in the southern states after the Civil War to oppose social change and black emancipation by using violence and terrorism. The KKK was a large group of people who does not like African Americans, Jews, Catholics and other races and religions. They are very harmful to many people. They have done many killings and other damage to towns and people. They started to take over the world as there population continued to grow. They wear white robes and mask over their faces. They also like to burn crosses as their symbol. The KKK had broken up and started again. The second time the KKK had over 10.000 people as members. They were dominating a lot of the nation. They continued to grow by using the strategy of trying to get the senates and the government and other high office into the KKK.

In 1925 there was a March on Washington by the KKK.  This was the new KKK (the second KKK), which consisted of over 10,000 people. As obvious as it is this march took many hours. The reason why they chose to do this march was because the original KKK was banned, therefore they decided to start another KKK and show how many members they had. Many people around was scared of the KKK because of all the violence they did. The KKK was considered to be Terrorist because all they ever did was burn crosses, kill people, and do major destruction to towns. KKK members all went to the same church, they believed that people who didn’t do right by God should pay for there wrong by death. That is another reason as to why they did so much killing.

The first KKK was over but there was still a few people who felt the need to contiue with the KKK so they decided to bring it back. Many positions was tooken over as far as government and big offices. The parade had at least 10,000 people marching as a member of the KKK. Some farmers' wives even brought pitchers of ice water to refresh the thirsty marchers who called themselves the Knights of the Invisible Empire. Because of the wide range amonut of members this march took a very long time to get through. Most of the people around town were apart of the KKK.
