This article describes King James' book and his views on witchcraft.  When king james was king of england he was well known.  He tried several times to stop the whichcraft. After a play written by shackspear, Macbeth was tied in with kings james look. Shakespear wanted to make everyone happy especially the king and he was trying his hardest and doing all he could.

This article describes why King James I became so fascinated with witch trials. After he married Anne from Denmark, she crossed the ocean to go to her new home. As she crossed, she came across massive storms and turned around to go back. James then went to go meet his new wife, and likewise encountered horrible weather conditions. He believed that the reasoning behind all this was because of witchcraft. James accused and questioned anyone he became suspicious of. He began to write a book to warn the Scottish.

The Divine right of kings was designed to instruct obedience and no matter what your social class is you must obey your goverment. They wanted to make sure wealthy people didnt seize power for themselves and just serve as royal officals. The definiton of the Divine right of kings is the power of the king comes from god, not the people. The king is not held accountable for anything that goes wrong. it stated monarchy was the best from of goverment and the King had the final decisons on everything. Back then everyone followed these rules and thought they were fair. Now people who research this topic think its absurb.

Also how he has a close relationship with God because hes a King. He wrote King James Bible which is considered to be the best version of the Bible. He wrote The Book of Demonology which talked about his beleif in demons that he spread around the world. To king james they were considered "super human beings not god"
