Teachers learn how to create curriculum courses through a sprint. The sprint was supported by a National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded project to investigate the potential for student learning from a professional open source community (called "vertical teaming").

Qué buena idea la de colaborar para realizar materiales de clase. Si bien es una actividad que realizamos normalmente solos y va de acuerdo al  nivel y necesidades de nuestros alumnos, la idea de colaborar y compartir ideas y experiencias es de mucha utilidad.

 

La revisión de libros de texto o apps  también debería ser una activad en colaboración extendiendo a crear espacios que permitan el aprendizaje.  

 

En resumen, me gustó la idea que presenta este artículo.

Hay mucho trabajo que hacer en este ámbito, es común utilizar la palabra "pensamiento crítico", palabra que se encuentra en las habilidades del siglo XXI,  pero realmente pocos maestros podrán aplicarlo en sus aulas. No existe, aunque debería existir, una materia llamada así "pensamiento crítico", de esta manera todos, maestros y alumnos,  podríamos comprender los textos que leemos y llegar a conclusiones.

Grades don't serve anyone in our system except those who issue them. Once thought to communicate learning, we now understand that this was a mistake. So here is one alternative.
martha sanchez's insight:

As a teacher I can tell if a student already understood a concept and if they are able to apply the concept in a figurative environment.  What is difficult to deal is when they get distracted or they are just lazy therefore they can not apply the new concept even though they understood it.   I know we need to get them a motivation to do the project, but sometimes it is necessary to evaluate attitude.  I asked my students that everybody needs to reach 100 and do all the work to get there, some times students throw the towel.
