How to Structure your Blog Posts

Blog post at Social-able : Having a good content structure is critical to writing blog posts that people can easily read and understand.

This is quite an interesting share from @lilachbullock in her blog on how to structure your blog perfectly.  She discusses the main elements of a well-structured blog post.

"The four main elements to well-structured blog posts are:

Introduction,

Tell ‘em what you are telling ‘em,

Tell ‘em

Then tell ‘em what you told them."

I'm pretty sure that if you write your blog posts this way, it will increase the reader's interest and it would help deliver your message more clearly.

So, it's really important to structure your blog posts this way to drive the message home, keeping it simple in the process, and it will be far more easier for you to write your blog post.

How to make money from blogging | Socialable

How to make money from blogging | Socialable | Keyword Research With Giddianhi | Scoop.it

LILACH over at socialable.co.uk writes a pretty cool post as an introduction to ways of making money through blogging.  It's already an established fact that you can make money through blogs.

Mainly, she discusses three main ways of monetizing your blog, and that's through Adsense, affiliate marketing and selling your own products.

Here are some of the things she has listed down on her post:

1. Google Adsense

2. CPM and CPA

3. Affiliate Programs

4. Amazon Associates, which is the Amazon affiliate program

5. Ebook sales

6. Premium Content/Membership sites

7. Direct Banner Advertising

8. Reviewing Products

9. Creating Job Boards

10. In-Text advertising, or contextual links

11. Speaking in events in your niche

12. Hosting Live Webinars in your niche

13. Promote your services

14. And, finally, asking for donations to your site.

Of course, she offers these as ideas.  We really don't to implement these on all of our sites.  I personally use Adsense, Amazon and CPA to monetize some of my websites.  And of course, here in GiddianhiRoberts.com I use affiliate programs, such as the ones you see advertised on my side-bars.

So, go look for a passion of yours, create your site, and start monetizing them with a program that suits you. And you'll soon see income coming in.

Are handheld gaming devices a sustainable niche? | Keyword Research With Giddianhi | Scoop.it
Are handheld gaming devices a sustainable niche?

Some feel that this maybe a dying niche.  According to the article, "Unit shipments following 2013 are expected to decline slightly", but it's still going to be a sustainable niche.

Senior analyst Michael Inouye comments, "Mobile devices will compete with dedicated handheld gaming devices, but select consumer segments like core gamers and those individuals who do not want or have a smartphone or tablet will still provide some demand. The addition of mobile gaming is not necessarily a zero sum situation; in fact, many feel there is plenty of room in the gaming market for both portable and mobile gaming."

An article that appeared in WiredPRNews reports another upcoming Google algorithm change.  "It has been reported that Google has plans to take advantage of the huge amount of data it has collected over the years and to use it to present even more relevant search results."

"...they do plan on adding semantic technology, which reportedly will alter search to “look more like how humans understand the world,’ notes Amit Singhal."

How's this going to affect us?  Well, this can either be good or bad.  Let's just see how it turns out.  As long as you're not involving yourself with any sneaky tactics to game Google, then you're assured to be on the safe side with them.  They may even reward you with better rankings with this new roll-out of "sematic technology".
