Video: Supreme Court Denies Appeals From States That Wanted to Keep Ban on Same Sex Marriage.

Soon there could be as many as 30 states where same sex couples could get married.
Kaylah Igarta's insight:

As shown in the video, more states are lifting the ban on same sex marriage. I believe I can use the information used in the video to provide proof of my opinion. This shows how the Supreme Court and federals are getting involved in the process of being able to marry in 50 states. The percentages are astonishing because just from one decision it opened the door for same sex marriage to raise to about 30 states. It's an important video because it shows the progress.

This video helps us understand the importance of the Constitution. Holder states that the ban of same sex marriage is unconstitutional. Kaylah Igarta's insight:

This article gives information that can also be apart of the progress. There are several states who still have a ban on same sex marriages. Florida was among them, but they are pushing to lift the ban. The reason why is because the expiration of the ban is near and there is a slim chance the ban will be brought back. I believe the others states still with the ban will go through the process soon.

Kaylah Igarta's insight:

Once the states become legalized for same sex marriage, it opens up the door for many other features. The court gives same sex married couples the civil unions. The civil union doesn't allow any Social Security benefits. This is important because it also states that the ban is somewhat unconstitutional. I can use this under the section that follows up the protection of the Constitution.
