Libertarian Gary Johnson says he'll be on presidential ballot in every state, by far outpacing any other third-party nominee

Libertarian Gary Johnson says he'll be on presidential ballot in every state, by far outpacing any other third-party nominee | Jennifer Knesbach's Political Circus: BHS GOPO | Scoop.it

Third party candidates are glimmers of hope at best. America is deeply emersed in the two party system and, despite the public's growing disillusionment at our reality, nothing will change it in the near future. I myself lean Libertarian, but I realize that if I want to network and begin making waves in politics, the money and media is focused on the two major parties. Gary Johnson can hope, but ultimately, I believe the campaign is a waste of time at the end of the day. What America needs to change this reality is something fundamentally great or terrible to shake the system, but the liklihood or consequences of this event don't look good. It is promising I suppose to see the two party system face some opposition, but the time for the Libertarians is not this election cycle.

SCOOPABLE 9/18

This article spoke of the Republican Party's weakness with Latino voters, especially with Latina voters because of the term "anchor babies", health care, and other immigration and economic issues. After attending Marco Rubio's speech in Houston, I've heard that legal voting Hispanics generally have strong traditional family values, are fairly religious, and hard working- meaning that they side with the Republican Party on most issues. The Party is taking the wrong approach though and its fairly obvious why the dems are winning this gap, especially amoung women- the genius of Obama's campaign director along with some major gaffs as far as rhetoric used by the right.
