Oracle's latest release of Java, 8 update 11 (and 7 update 65), has caused problems for some third-party tools.

If you're using a library that depends on Javassist or performs bytecode manipulation, Java 8 Update 11 will probably cause you a headache. As a sidenote, remember that calls to a superclass constructor should be the first call in your constructor - Java 8u11 is finally enforcing this requirement.

The contractor's (CMS) inexperience using the Agile approach to software development contributed to the initial failure of the Healthcare.gov site. Agile methodologies are intended to decrease development time and overhead, but are challenging to implement within the government procurement environment and may require additional training.
