This article emphasises the general risks of drinking under the legal age. There is short parent guide with tips such as to try and keep your teenager happy, this can discourage underage drinking and delay them drinking alcohol until the age of 18 at least. It talks about the brain and what parts in which is affected when under the consumption of alcohol between illegal ages. This site is beneficial for both teens and their guardians as this could be the difference between being a happy and healthy teen/adult, rather than being a person that is an addict and relies on alcohol.

Perin Leach's curator insight, May 20, 2013 6:43 AM

I found this article highly insightful as it provides great advice for parents and friends/family to look for signs whether their child/friend has or is at this time consuming alcohol under the legal age limit. It provides hints on how best to approach their child about the situation and how you can slowly ease out of the addiction, or just to explain generally how the parent feels about the child being under the influence of alcohol under the legal age limit. As i said above, i found this artical highly insightful and I think it should be used and made more available to parents and family and friends of the teenager as it is very informative.

This is a perfect example for those who are wondering about the effects that it has on the brain, we can all learn something from this clip as it could reassure us when contemplating drinking high amounts of alcohol between the ages of 12-21.

This is a great video for particularly adolescents who are considering drinking at parties and other occasions as it gives the effects on the developing brain and I believe that parents should watch this video as it could potentially save your child's life.
