"IT happened….. something went wrong in our first grade classroom when using the iPads. I know, BIG SHOCKER! One of the more important things teachers need to remember is things will not always go as planned when using the iPads. There will be technical difficulties, connectivity issues, and things that are unforeseen. You have to be able to think on your feet and improvise to teach in the 1:1 iPad classroom. I try to help teachers achieve this at my school."

This is a fantastic tool for engaging anyone with picture or video for behavioral feedback, or for social stories and language development. Very easy to operate and free. Social stories for kids are a snap.

Bloom wrote his stuff in 1956. This is just a pretty picture of some old ideas. It doesn't even capture all the dimensions Bloom was talking about. It seems to me this is just a way of using technology to push old ideas about what learning and knowing is.

Hi John. I appreciate the link and have looked at the articles. The point remains that the revision still represents an old way of thinking about learning and only concentrates on the cognitive domain. The first article does not appear to explain why the revision only deals with vol one of Blooms Taxonomy. What about the affective and psychomotor domains? I am curious why people keep pushing the overly cognitivist notion of this taxonomy when iPads (and more modern learning theories) give us a way of thinking about learning in enactivist and embodied ways. I think it is generally accepted that the cognitivist view of learning is fairly outdated. Mobile technologies and digital learning should be informed by more contemporary theory. I would be interested go hear your thoughts and anyone's else who wants to respond.
