Introduction

The amendments are Constitutional rights that U.S. citizens are entitled to.

The four amendments I have chosen are:

Amendment I- Guarantees and protects freedoms of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition.

Amendment II- Gives the people the right to bear arms or keep weapons, since a well- regulated militia is necessary to the security of a free country.

Amendment IV-Prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures, and requires a warrant if there is probable cause or reason to believe that a search will produce evidence of a crime.

Amendment V- Oulines legal rights of people in criminal proceedings, a person must be charged with a specific crie, person may not be tried twice for the same crime, person cannot be forced to give testimony against himself in court and the government may not seize property for public use without paying the owner a fair market price.

Tech Today: Phone Tracker Tests Fourth Amendment

Tech Today: Phone Tracker Tests Fourth Amendment | My Amendments | Scoop.it

As people "search" and track down their phones by using Stingray.. they are practicing the fourth amendment. It is being threatened because they are unsure if this should be a constitutional debate. I think this is unconstitutional because something like tracking a phone is not important at all, that it needs to be compared to the amendments..

Swiss Vote to Keep Guns at Home

Swiss Vote to Keep Guns at Home | My Amendments | Scoop.it

Many people practice their constitutional rights by keeping guns/weapons at home for the safety of their families and children. I think this is constitutional because the second amendment states that they have rights to keep bear arms and weapons in defense.

High school basketball players allege First Amendment violation : Publications : School District Articles : Ottosen Britz Kelly Cooper Gilbert & DiNolfo - Illinois Law Firm Representing Municipalities

This basketball team is practicing their constitutional rights by speaking out against their coach. It is being threatened because they schools are not allowing the students to complain about the coach being abusive. I think this is unconstitutional because the first amendment states that U.S. citizens have a freedom of speech, and they should be able to speak about what they want.

Fifth Amendment Court Cases - Double Jeopardy Clause

Fifth Amendment Court Cases - Double Jeopardy Clause | My Amendments | Scoop.it

In the case of Jack McCall, the constitutional right of the fifth amendment here was violated. He was going to be tried twice for the same crime.. it is being threatened because that is not allowed. I think this is unconstitutional because you should listen to the amendment when it specifically states you can not be tried twice for the same crime.

FBI Says It Violated Fourth Amendment

Practicing this constitutional right of the fourth amendment is by having the right to search WITH a warrant. This right is being threatened by the FBI due to their "emergency requests". I agree with the FBI on this one, because if it is an emergency they should be able to search since they are professionals.

Oklahoma man fighting for "I'm Gay" license plate found dead | Speak Equal

Oklahoma man fighting for "I'm Gay" license plate found dead | Speak Equal | My Amendments | Scoop.it

This man is practicing his constitutional right by showing freedom of speech. He is showing everyone that he is gay and isn't afraid to put it on his licensed plate, and was killed do to this. I think this was very unconstitutional of what they did because he should be able to be happy however he is, even if he is gay and he should be able to let everyone know that.
