Thank you Tom, I will check out this resource.  Adding transcripts of videos and recordings is an essential aspect of providing learners with "multiple means of representation", one of the principles of UDL that reduce barriers to learning. It is also very challenging to create and/or replicate.  The right tools help. I would be interested in feedback from others on this tool

It’s all about readability. In the age of newspapers, editors used to tell their writers to stick to a grade 5-7 readability level when writing articles. Keep the charts simple, guys.

I love animations - and kids enjoy doing them
Ms P's curator insight, June 12, 2017 10:31 AM

Having students share information using animated videos , which are simple to create yet look professional, allows students to feel pride in their work. Using this technology not only substitutes and augments simpler forms of presentations,  but also re-defines what they are capable of achieving.
Students may use this tool (ANIMAKER)  in my learning sequence to create a digital artefact that can be seen as part of a social media campaign on a particular Human Rights topic.

Miss Anna Loosmore's curator insight, June 15, 2017 7:13 AM

I had envisaged the dynamic learners in my class, in groups of 2-3 curating digital artifacts in response to economic issues I had raised, and then presenting them to the class via Powerpoint, a video of themselves, a podcast perhaps..?!?? BUT, now thanks to @Ms P I can add animated video animation presentation as an inspo for the children..
