Thothathri Raman's insight:

An interesting, though somewhat outdated graphic representation of what AACSB accreditation really means and how to acquire the same. The AACSB has reduced its standards from 21 to 15 and introduced a wider scope of coverage of the MBA process in the campus based on Innovation, impact and assessment.

Thothathri Raman's insight:

International Accreditation outside USA is a big opportunity for the  agencies like AACSB and the annual Middle East and Africa conference is a significant opportunity for AACSB to  network with the region's business schools. More rigorous research is done by AACSB, the US accreditation body. The 2011-12 AACSB deans' survey asked how long the previous dean had held the job.
Thothathri Raman's insight:

Business Schools anywhwere in the world suffer hugely from leadership crisis as the faculty  development process is still not the focus in most business school markets. AACSB is doing a great job here by surveying its accredited schools periodically to see how  leadsership shortage in terms of Deans is affecting their working. This needs to be done even at the national by governments taking up responsibility as faculty leadership is the most sigificant resource  in any campus. Training the senior faculty to take up administrative position Dean is fraught with great challenges  as academics as a rule are not great managers, as the experience worldwide shows.
