Lester B. Pearson School Board’s (LBPSB) Eco-Energy project has entered phase three after having started in 2005. So far, 25 million have been invested and the project has allowed savings of $2 million a year after phase two was done.

In the fourth quarter 148,000 square feet of manufacturing space were completed in the city of Chicago, and 71,000 square feet of flex space was finished in Will County/Joliet. The industrial vacancy rate in Chicago will likely decline over the next year.

Homefix: Insulating ductwork

I had a home-energy analysis. The report said my ductwork needs to be repaired upstairs and in the crawlspace because that is where a good deal of leakage is and also is bringing bad air pollutants from my crawlspace into my home.

Home repairs can be expensive and not a lot of people can afford them. But if you feel that you can't do something yourself as well as the professionals can, then it's best to save up and get it done right. Mastic and tape is cheaper, but foam, while expensive, will both insulate and air seal the ducts, taking the place of the tape or mastic.

(WASHINGTON) — Spending on U.S. construction projects rebounded in February, helped by a surge in home construction, which rose to the highest level in more than four years. The Commerce Department says construction spending rose 1.
