Has Social Media Become our Higher Education? | Interactive Teaching and Learning | Scoop.it

"I don't mean to disparage higher education at all....

So what brought me to ...  moments of great learning? They came to me through social media. It may seem strange that I’ve learned more from social media in any one 12-month period than any other time in my life."

Tne monolithic industrial stucture of schooling that this writer clearly experienced in the formal learning enviroment would not hold up against the Networked Learning of today, so his comparisons seem reasonable.

However, it is my view that the rise of K20 blended learning is revolutionising the learning and forever changing the the traditional "stand-and-deliver" brick-and-mortar classrooms.

Food for thought?
