Software project supports submarine tactics simulation | Interactive programming platform |

RMIT University researchers are using intelligent agent technology to develop new submarine tactics software in a government-funded project.

Dr John Thangarajah, from the Agents Group at the School of Computer Science and IT, is leading the team charged with finessing the simulation software.

The Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO), the lead Department of Defence research agency, has awarded a $135,000 grant for the project, which will be used to evaluate submarine tactics in a range of underwater mission scenarios.
