Vahe Kassardjian's insight:
Forrester Wave 2018 Q1: Enterprise Marketing Software Suites. Completely in line with Gartner’s recent MQ for Digital Experience Platforms (http://sco.lt/66yV8L):
- Adobe: best for Marketing, Content, Media, Acquisition and Conversion
- Saleforce: best for Sales, Service and Community
- IBM: ok-ish because Watson conceals the inconsistencies
 - Oracle: great for clients already committed to Oracle, but lacks overall maturity
- SAP: Excellent E-commerce but the rest is cobbled up
- SAS: data-centric and expert-centric

Vahe Kassardjian's insight:
2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Experience Platforms: http://bit.ly/2n0HWbA [Report: https://adobe.ly/2DqhDSh] ;
- Acquia/Drupal: true PaaS, large partner ecosystem. Complex and still a CMS-centric platform.
- Adobe: undisputed leader in Digital Marketing, great usability to Business Users. Pricey and implementation can be complex.
- IBM: rich feature set through multiple products and acquisitions but architectural complexities, thus impact on maintenance and evolutions. Watson hides a lot of said complexities under the hood.
- Liferay: Great for purist architects and developers, and for the incorporation of external business apps. Not a business user's tool. Content management is elementary. Much needed features such as Analytics are left as DIY projects.
- Sitecore: Lots of features out-of-the box and better interoperability than previously. Poor usability for Business Users, ineffective support from Sitecore and partners. Generally high TCO.
