How to Change Buying Cars Forever

The Dodge Dart Registry is a campaign by Chrysler that proclaimed the bold statement of ‘How to Change Buying Cars Forever’. This new campaign attempts to use crowdfunding in order to help finance a 2013 Dodge Dart, which is a sedan aimed at the younger generation for its cool interior and exterior and lively engine. The commercial explains how the website works and portrays how easy it will be for young people to get a new car by having their relatives and friends each supply a little bit of money in order to fund the entire vehicle. The users of the registry are encouraged to use social media such as Twitter and Facebook to campaign in order to try to procure their funding, which makes it an integrated campaign. This has become a successful campaign due to thousands of users setting up registries for free and many getting very close to fully funding their cars, including some not for profit charities.

This campaign touches on the course concept of consumer insights by Chrysler analyzing the younger demographic and coming up with this entirely new way to approach them in terms of automobile sales. Their insights were that young people generally need a lot of help from family to purchase new cars and this would be a fresh way to attempt to get money without having to ask their family directly along with being able to see their progress as they go along. Chrysler understands their target audience and this is a clever way of marketing their new car as an attainable goal through their use of social media and their registry.

Karlos's insight:

So here is a new way of trying to sell something, by kinda not selling it at all, due to the buyer not paying for it. It just goes to show that the person who uses the item is not entirely the one that pays for it. Back to the principles of marketing and enticing your target market.

I agree with this article that the multi-channel marketing have both benefits and barriers towards customers and businesses itself. This will made marketers to plan and look to solve the problem well as things may occurs like the barriers of multi-channel marketing. Therefore, to be able to success, marketers have to find out someway to solve the barriers or find other way to be able to intergrated with customers.

This article is intesresting as it outlines the benefits of IMC marketing. It is also interesting to know how the role of multi-channel marketing is introduced. This is all about creating a plan and knowing who your consumers are and what interest them etc. I think this is so important as if you dont know your consumers how are you able to market your product in the right way and make them happy?

Social media became one of the most important media tools in marketing. Social networking is one of the ways to raise customer engagement with a brand or a company by posting, twittering videos and pictures on company's fan page. Customers can now comment on companies pages what makes the connection between a brand and customer closer then ever. Visual social media is most effective way to connect with customers, stats show that 90% of information transmitted to the brain is visual and 40% of people respond better to visual information than text.

what is visual social media marketing? now days social media has become a significant marketing platform, and social media like facebook twitter and instagram are all having heavy visual content function. image is a easiest way to attract consumer attention. According to the article, image has receiving a large amount of audience in social media. it can also be remember quikly compared with a text message. In my opinion, social media is also a critical marketing platform to gain brand image awareness and consumer engagement. consumer compared the quality and reputation of the product by going on a social group on facebook looking feedback from others or even determinate the quality by looking the picture, Marketer should always be cautions when they are dealing with social media.

From my point of view, visual can determinate consumer attitude toward the brand just same as packing, it changes our perception just by changing color or shape. Marketer should also choice the right picture to put on it website, it is not necessary only publish the photo of the product it can also be a picture of a beautiful destination or a image of an animal to attract consumer attention and engagement to the page.
