Blended-Learning Approach Turns Teachers Into Facilitators

Blended-Learning Approach Turns Teachers Into Facilitators | Instructional Technology | Scoop.it

"Over the past few years, teachers throughout the Milpitas, Calif., school district have been transitioning to a blended-learning model. Though the practice is generally trumpeted as a way to integrate technology into the classroom and individualize instruction, many of the district’s educators say it has also given them opportunities to take on new roles and change the ways they manage their work."

Updated gathering of blended learning resources from Edutopia.

Dustin Fowler's curator insight, April 7, 2015 3:13 PM

I like this article because it points to the trends in blended instruction from the standpoint that it isn't really going anywhere.  Being an advocate for blended instruction in my physical classroom, as well as a virtual teacher, I have tried to explain to some of my more traditional-minded colleagues that we all need to be paying attention to the changes in education.  Blended Instruction takes many shapes.  We can all agree that these models are changing education, and they are not going anywhere!
