Indian Online Rummy – Popular Variants | Indian Online Rummy – Popular Variants | Scoop.it
Radhika Rao's insight:

The popular Indian card game of rummy played on a website’s gaming interface is called ‘online rummy’. Online rummy is a game of skill, strategy and logic. Carefully calculated moves and smart game plan can esnure good wins unlike other online card games.

Online Rummy game rules are very similar to rummy game played in physical company of people.

Basics of Online Rummy

The basics of the game remain the same. The number player varies on from host to host but is mostly 3-6. Number of decks (2- 3 maximum) used is subjective to number of players and the rummy variation.

Online rummy – Popular Online Rummy games

Online Indian rummy game sites offer an array of rummy variations. Some of the commonly played variations are:

13 Card Points Rummy: Like the classic Indian 13-card rummy game, the primary goal of the game form combinations that include one pure sequence, one impure/pure sequence and rest of the cards can be arranged in sets or sequences using joker cards.

21 Card Rummy: As the name suggests, primary goal is to use all 21 cards to for a set of combinations that include minimum of 3 pure sequences and the rest of the cards can be used to form sets or sequences. Jokers and value cards can be used as substitute to form combinations.

Marriage Rummy: The game plays out similarly like points rummy with the introduction of Valu cards and Marriage Concept. In this variant the player holding a marriage, will have the joker card and the cards ascending and descending to the joker of the same suit. Example, if 3H is the cut joker then the player will also have value cards QH and 10H. Thus, holding all three 4H-3H-2H pure sequence also called ‘Marriage’.

Pool  Rummy – This is the most basic version of Indian Rummy.  In this category the main aim is to accumulate least amount of points. The first player to reach a certain pre-decided number of points (101 or 201) is eliminated. This continues until the last person remains. He is declared the winner. Major categories under Pool rummy are:

101 Pool – Maximum points for elimination are 101201 Pool - Maximum points for elimination are 101Best of 3  - 2 player game played in 3 rounds onlyBest of 2  - 2 player game played in 2 rounds only

Among other variants websites also host Rummy Tournaments which vary from website to website.

The web platform provides convenient mode of playing an online rummy game at the ease of your own home and at the comfort of your time. Online Indian rummy is like any other normal rummy game with certain predefined rules and clear instructions for game play. The effort of shuffling, dealing, extracting the cut joker etc is taken care by online gaming interface. The gaming interface is controlled by computer programming. Thus, preventing any cheating, groupism or fraudulent activities.

Why Sri Lanka Is The Perfect Travel Destination

Why Sri Lanka Is The Perfect Travel Destination | Indian Online Rummy – Popular Variants | Scoop.it
Sri Lanka is known for its natural sights and historical wonders. The mesmerizing beauty of this country has always attracted travelers from across the world. Sandy beaches, coral reefs, tropical forests, ancient ruins and famous temples fill the map. And with its geographic location in the tropics and along millennia-old trade routes, Sri Lanka's cuisine is a mixture of local and foreign flavors that are an absolute culinary treat. But, for many people, Sri Lanka still remains a mystery, with all of its beauty hidden in plain sight.

A Natural Paradise

Sri Lanka’s natural riches range from endless, powder-white beaches, 250 meter tall waterfalls, terraced tea plantations that stripe rolling hills and tropical rainforests alive with endemic species. Serious hikers can tromp through Knuckles Mountain Range, surfers can take on the waves at Arugam Bay and the more relaxed visitors can lay back just about anywhere in this tropical paradise to catch rays or z's. The weather in nearly every part of the island, save for a few mountainous areas, is beach-friendly year-round.

Sanctuaries and national parks

For decades, Sri Lanka has consistently worked to preserve land for the island's endemic species, like leopards, elephants, crocodiles, sambar deer and hundreds of different birds. In total, a little more than a quarter of the landmass is protected as a park, sanctuary or strict nature reserve. Located in the southeast of the country, Yala National park is the most popular park on the island. Here, tourists get a chance to take a safari out into wild elephant territory, where the herds roam freely. Rivalling Yala is the Wilpattu, the largest one of the oldest national parks in Sri Lanka. Though the park was closed due to the civil conflict, it has since reopened to the public and continues to grow its visitorship yearly. Wilpattu is famous for the shallow willus (lakes) that fill up in the rainy season and attract a huge range of biodiversity that inhabit the 1,300 km2 reserve.

Sandy beaches

Sri Lanka has hundreds of kilometers of stunning beaches where travelers can explore the coral reef, surf, fish or simply enjoy the ocean breeze with a walk along the beach. And every beach offers a cultural experience that is totally its own. Many of the beaches are connected to towns that have been in existence since at least European occupation, and often hundreds of years further back. Walk along the fort at Galle, look down at the crashing waves from Swami rock in Trincomalee or explore the coral reef off of Nilaveli. And areas like Hikkaduwa and Arugam Bay have developed into destinations for international surfers looking for excellent waves. Or if you're looking for something slow before you head home Negombo, where the main international airport is located is home to a relaxed, albeit somewhat hippy, vibe. No matter the experience you're looking for on Sri Lanka's shoreline, you're pretty much bound to be able to find it.

Ayurveda treatment

Ayurveda is the traditional medication and healing therapy of Sri Lanka. It’s been practiced for thousands of years since it was brought to the island from India. It focuses on cleansing and rejuvenating the body through detoxification, relaxation, massage, diet and yoga. With thousands of practicing ayurveda professionals, it's easy to find a location anywhere in Sri Lanka to relax their body and soul with Ayurveda herbal bath, body massage, foot massage, Ayurvedic head oil application and nasal treatment.

Old Forts

People who’re looking to roam around and enjoy a peaceful day out, the coastal city forts offer a taste of history without trekking far into the country's interior. Visitors can learn about the history while enjoying the ocean air and maybe even an ice cream cone. Some of the most visited forts from Sri Lanka include the Dutch Galle Fort and Fort Frederick in Trincomalee or Jaffna Fort in the country's far north.

Fishing in Sri Lanka

With its kilometers of tropical beaches, this incredible country is the perfect place to travel for people who are looking for amazing fishing spots. Some of the most popular fishing spots in Sri Lanka include Galle, Negombo, Kalutara, Mirissa, Hikkaduwa, Aluthgama, Kalpitiya and Trincomalee.

One big mistake that many new social media marketers do is they spread their selves too thin over a number of social media platforms. They think that they need to make an account on every social media platform that the internet has to offer, like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Youtube, Snapchat and many more. Probably, in their opinion if they have a profile on every social media network, their work is automatically done.
