KATHMANDU, Jan 14: Finance Ministers from seven member countries of Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) are convening in the capital on Monday to finalize and adopt regional anti-poverty strategy for reducing poverty in the bloc.

The second BIMSTEC Ministerial on Poverty Alleviation will mainly discuss issues related to pro-poor and inclusive growth, social development, social safety nets, targeted programs, governance, climate change and disaster management. It will also endorse the Poverty Plan of Action (PPA), which will comprise regional strategies and cooperation for fighting poverty, said Deependra Bahadur Kshetry, vice-chairman of National Planning Commission.

Blockchain and Impact Investing – learNerd –

I am excited to see it’s implementation in the development or social sector, the first company (still one of the most interesting ones in impact investing space) that I came across was Impak Finance, their business goal is to bridge the gap in between impact companies, investors, and citizens, by reinventing how his/her daily spending can be a catalyst for change. When I read their whitepaper, I was pretty sure this sector will see the various implementation of the blockchain.
