Added 04/01/14 From August 2013, Lorraine give a wide ranging, engaging  view of  education and special needs at that point, which has not yet changed  very much.  It is aimed at practicing  SENDCO, senior leaders and people working with children with special needs. In particular she lays out the implications for teachers and teaching.  All teachers are teachers of all children, it is their responsibility to  provide an inclusive education. Inspections will focus on this.

Training for teachers, only  few years old. Useful if only to read rather than taking the course. With the new Children and Families Bill about come into action all teachers need some training for  SEND

Jane McConnell is chief executative of  IPSEA, Independant  Parental Special Educational  Advice. This group provides legal advice for parents seeking to get the best education for their child with special needs. Speaking at the 2013 nasen conference  she looks what the changes in SEN Law mean in practice for schools. Although aimed at SENDCO and  school leadership there is some invaluable iformation for the teacher in here.
