Autumn Valido's insight:

This is a great example of why businesses should join the social media revolution. Consumers today are more reachable online on social media websites than directly marketing to them on the street. Since the advancement of technology and apps on phones, businesses can publish anything about their brand anywhere and at anytime. By marketing your business through social media, it can enhance B2C interaction by directly advertising promotions, products and directly chat with consumers and receive insights on what your business is doing right and what can be improved. This method of marketing through social media websites can be very beneficial for brand awareness and reaching consumers on a wider level, and not to mention directly receiving consumer insights  rather than long surveys.

Social media is becoming a hot means of integrated marketing communication in this day and age. Many companies and organizations have their own propagandist platforms with social media such as Facebook, Twitter or Youtube. Based on the article, a recent survey of social media states that 85% of online users have social media accounts. That means a company can reach lots of target consumers and have a chance to attract them by using the social media. The advantage of social media is that it can be used to interact with customers directly. A company can publish their new products and make a better communication with their customers. A successful business can not only set appropriate marketing strategy but also can keep pace with the times. Using social media is an efficient way to build bridge between the company and the customers.

For marketers, the highlight of the 2014 Academy Awards was Ellen DeGeneres's selfie tweet, taken with a sponsor's smartphone.

Autumn Valido's insight:

This article was very interesting and discussed about the big event that happened at the Oscars this year; the Ellen DeGeneres selfie with a large group of celebrities that was tweeted 3.3 million times on Twitter. It discusses whether the Samsung phone used to take the selfie was a marketing ploy made by Samsung to increase their brand awareness, but it just goes to show that marketers these days have to be original, innovative and realise that social media today is a great way to market to consumers especially through images.

An image of some of the biggest celebrities from the Oscars take by the sponsor Samsung smartphone featured through a tweet on Ellen's page. Brings creativity back to the table for marketers looking for new ways of reaching their audiences. This may have been spontaneous or prompted by the sponsor nonetheless has had over 3.3 million tweets. This way to market the Samsung brand has truly stood out to be a social media success.

This article shows a creative content for IMC vehicles and different way for marketers to stand out. This tweet shows how celebrity can play a huge role in IMC and how viral images and post can be. This marketing strategy was effective as it exposed a brand and made people want it. By getting people to promote a brand, this will engage consumers from different target audiences. This shows how different channels and platforms of marketing can be powerful, especially using social media.

I find this is very interesting. How many has this #selfie been retweeted or shared on many social media networks? This explains and symbolizes the most recent successful IMC campaign has ever accomplished. Just the way these people smiled In the #selfie, we sure feel some kind of connection between the celebrities in the picture and broke though the clutter.

Autumn Valido's insight:

This article is written from the perspective of a marketing writer. It is interesting to read that a job he was offered made him question the benefits of financial future security or his ethical views. He was offered a job with a tobacco company for 6 months and have enough money at the end to retire; but deliberated that two of his family members have died from using cigarettes so he turned down the offer.

The writer predicts future branding and potential trending markets including Facebook audiences and also predicted that most brand strategies today will use multi-sensory. It is interesting reading his perspective on marketing and branding and takes consideration of future markets by asking consumers about what they would desire from an ethical advertisement.

Seeing that brand was very important to the organisation they were willing to offer deals to consumers. However, with the situation being present the offer has been declined. This article has shown how branding is important in marketing and how advertising can be seen hugely as a help factor for their company. The writter has learnt from themselves the effects of advertising and how ethics and advertising do not go together. This article has shown that most brand strategies today would use different ways to create more consumers. The writer has taken into consideration what the organisation is trying to do and has been aware that as part of the marketing business he should ask what other consumers desire\

This article just generally introduce what components brand communication and IMC have.Actually, we need further information to discuss what they mean to us. For example, in my point of view, "the fundation stage" probably is the most important among the process of IMC. demand and supply are the two key elements within the word "market" anyway, author need more information to support his or her statemnt.
