As the power is transferring from manufacturers to consumers. The 4ps are not enough when implement marketing strategy. 4cs now become more and more important when developing marketing strategy.

I agree with you Perry, consumers today are very powerful, given the amount of access and interaction they have with brands. Brands are striving more and more to be exactly where the consumer wants them to be. this is either in its physical form or as a representation of the brand.

Engagement elements selected should not only capture a consumer’s attention, but all of their senses because capturing their attention might not be long lasting in the customer's mind but capturing their senses will make them remember the brand longer.

The strategy is no longer only captures consumers' attention but also consumer sense. Attention can only make consumers exposed but meet these sense of consumers may push consumers to remember the brand and love the brand.

it is interesting to note that while brands in all shapes, forms, and sizes are able to have a two way dialogue with consumers via social media sites. These very sites are in turn creating databases that collect relevant information on the consumers, preferences and behaviours and then provide that information to marketers who will use it to design another marketing campaign. It has become a cycle, has it not?

Consistent message is very crucial to a brand that can make the business distinctive from its competitors, and also brand recognition, brand image and brand recall are built when brand delivers consistent message.

it is clear that good marketing and communications objectives along with a budget for it essential. However in today's context should companies have a budget to suit their objectives or vice versa?

A good look at why establishing objectives is important and budgeting for promotional programs. Establishing objectives gives a reference point for the sucess of the operation in order to measure its scuess of failure against it. 

Budgeting helps shape the direction of the marketing efforts and keeps everything in check with the companies finances. High expenditure may not always be the best option of  a company on marketing if its return won't be met as proportionally as a lower amount spent will

I agree with Perry and Selina that social media is the best tool to capture attention and increase the exposure but social media is not the only key component that make people to trust the brand. I personally think that we should consider other component such as the brand itself, the reputation, quality and especially how safety it is to make a purchase online
