One must admit that this cardboard project has a very cool side to it and will indeed be accessible to the majority !

This seems a bit pointless. You could go and just watch a documentary about the place and it would be the same thing as having your teacher go to this place and talk about it. It is pretty sweet looking though.

I agree, it seems like cool technology, but you miss out on actually experiencing the place yourself! This would be like watching a virtual tour of DC instead of taking the trip there, it would get dull very fast.

the article and video show a very direct way that google glass can be used to visualize a field trip for a classroom. I added it because its much less of a future option and much more of a current day technology option. |

This website has dates for programs on the discovery channel, taking kids on virtual fieldrips throughout North America. There is an emphasis on animals and their habitats. There are also teacher resources to go with the movies, starting with a free trial! |
